The outbreak of coronavirus is affecting all our lives in lots of different ways. If your fundraising plans have been postponed or cancelled, we’ve put together a selection of ideas for virtual fundraising that you can do from home instead.

Thank you for your continued support helping us help African farmers!

Be a home hero for Farm Africa on Sunday 26 April when the nation will be doing the 2.6 Challenge!

You decide the challenge, from pledging to run 2.6 miles a day to a 26-minute yoga session or juggling for 26 minutes (or 2.6 minutes!) The 2.6 challenge is open to anyone of any age - the only requirement is that the activity must follow the Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing.

  1. Dream up a 2.6 Challenge (ideas here!)
  2. Donate £26 or whatever you can afford or set up your own fundraising page here.
  3. Ask friends and family to sponsor you or challenge them to take on their own 2.6 challenge
  4. Complete your challenge!
  5. Share a photo or video of your challenge on social media with #TwoPointSixChallenge and #FarmAfrica

For more information visit the 2.6 Challenge website

Virtual Trek Through Africa

Can you walk, jog or run the equivalent of the vertical length of Uganda during lockdown? As the bird flies, it is 188 miles from Gulu to south Kampala. Divide that by 30 days, that’s just over six miles a day! Have your virtual sponsorship form and charity bucket in the form of a fundraising page to share with your community and click the button to link your Strava account to it. Whenever you log your walk it will automatically add to your fundraising page and let your sponsors know how well you are doing!
